Fr Manoj Palakkal Mathew Professor of Philosophy

Fr Manoj is a priest of the diocese of Kannur, Kerala. He was born on 30th October in 1983, at Cochin, Ernakulam district. He has pursued philosophical studies in St Joseph inter-diocesan seminary, Mangalore, and theological studies in Urbanian University, Rome. As a continuation of learning, he has obtained licentiate in Philosophy from the same University. His priestly ordination was on 25th July in 2015 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Burnacherry, Kannur. He has served as assistant parish priest at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Pilathara and as secretary to the Bishop of Kannur, Mele Chovva. He has completed his doctoral thesis in Philosophy on the theme “The Divine attributes in the treatise VIII of al-Ilāhiyyāt of Avicenna and in chapters 5-6 of the Itinerarium mentis in Deum of St. Bonaventure” from Urbanian University, Rome.
